Talk: AI-First System Architecture — Infinity AI-BuildFest 2026
speaking · 2026
Invited session on designing scalable AI-first and agentic systems at Infinity AI BuildFest 2026, one of Bangladesh’s largest AI-focused hackathons and builder communities.
I delivered an invited session on AI-First System Architecture at Infinity AI BuildFest 2026, sharing practical approaches to designing AI-native software systems beyond prompt-based applications and simple AI wrappers.
The session focused on how developers can move from rapidly assembling AI features to thinking systematically about architecture, orchestration, scalability, context management, and production readiness. I discussed how traditional software architecture is evolving as AI models, agents, tools, retrieval systems, and memory become active components of modern applications.
Topics covered during the session included:
- AI-first system design
- Agentic AI architecture
- MCP, tools, and skills
- Multi-agent systems and orchestration
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Short- and long-term memory layers
- Context and token optimization
- Agentic maturity models
- Practical architecture for an AI Helpdesk System
A central theme of the talk was that building effective AI products requires more than faster coding or stronger prompts. Engineers need to understand system boundaries, data flows, tool interaction, model responsibilities, failure handling, security, and the architectural decisions required to move an AI prototype toward a reliable real-world system.
Infinity AI BuildFest brought together more than 3,000 AI enthusiasts, developers, students, and builders, creating an opportunity to share these ideas with a growing community working on next-generation AI products.
I was glad to contribute to the initiative and support builders in developing stronger architectural thinking alongside their AI engineering skills.
